Be careful though, the trek can get quite challenging in chadar trekking.

Day 1 : Arrive in Leh ( 3500meter )

Upon arrival in leh Ladhak the union territory of india ,check in hotel.over night. Leh ladhak union territory of india lies at an altitude of 3500 metres above sea level, is one of the largest districts in the country. In winters, as most passes to Leh ladhak are closed,bset way to reach leh ladha is flight from delhi, Leh airport which has the distinction of being the highest airport in the world. As soon you land at the airport, you will be greeted by dry and cold air, but what will take all your attention is the lofty, snow-capped mountains all around; a sight that will remain with you forever. After completing the arrival formalities and picking up your bags from the baggage counter, take a taxi and proceed towards the pre-arranged hotel. Get acquainted with your co trekkers and the Adventure Nation team members and rest in the hotel. Stay overnight.   

Day 2 : Leh ladhak Acclimatization trekking

After breakfast in hotel day leisure for own activites and optional can trek for acclimatization as general very trekker lovers follow below schedule in morning.Get up early in the morning and begin the process of acclimatization at high altitude. Proceed to walk towards Shanti Stupa, a sacred Buddhist stupa, from where you will get an opportunity to witness a beautiful view of the sunrise and a panoramic sight of the town of Leh. Staying hydrated is extremely important so make sure you drink at least 3-4 litres of water everyday.

Day 3 : Leh ladhak Acclimatization trekking 

After breakfast in hotel day leisure for own activites please follow below guide lines of union territory of india to make medical chekup in government hospital. The challenging nature of this particular trekking, the government has made it mandatory for participants to acquire medical certification before they undertake this Himalayan Expedition. A clearance certificate upon a health check-up is mandatory and will be issued by the positioned medical centre. One will get a certificate only when adequately fit and acclimatized for the trek. The basic medical examination is done at the SNM Hospital. 

Day 4 : Leh - Shingra Koma - Tsomo Paldar ( 3200meter )

 After breakfast in hotel later drive to shingra Koma can enjoy drive and trekking. Distance/Duration: 70km Drive (4 Hours), 3km Trek (2 Hours) Grade: Moderate This is the day you’re going to start the extraordinary journey, known as the Chadar Trek. Enjoy breakfast in the morning and start your journey by driving to Shingra Koma. This ride is not for the faint-hearted as bumpy roads and hairpin bends are quite common on this route. The sight of the surrounding high mountains will give you a sense of awe. After reaching, you will have to deboard from the vehicle and prepare to start the trek. Initially, you may find it a bit difficult to walk on the ice but after a few minutes (and a few falls ;-)) you will get comfortable. Reach the first campsite after trekking for a couple of hours. Have some fresh cooked food and stay overnight.  

Day 5 : Tsomo Paldar to Tibb Cave (3300meters)

After breakfast in in Tsomo paldar procced for trek to Tibb cave Distance/Duration: 14km / 6-7 Hours Grade: Moderate Morning to get ready for Tibb Cave best start trekking early morning with packed launch. During the day, you will behold the breathtaking beauty of the region including ravines and gorges. You might not see sunshine properly as the cliffs in this area obstruct them. Once you reach Tibb cave, you will see a large cave. This is the place where you will halt for the night and rest. tea –coffee with veg snacks are offered in upon arrival and later have dinner. Enjoy overnight stay at the campsite.  

Day 6 : Tibb Cave to Naerak ( 3400meters )

After breakfast in Tibb camp ready to make 13 km trekking with packed launch. Distance/Duration: 13km / 7 Hours Grade: Moderate Today exclusively explore chadar trekking and the most scenic part of the expedition and get a chance to witness the largest frozen waterfall in the valley. The bridge built next to the site of the waterfall is used in summers to reach Zanskar from Leh. Thereafter, you can proceed towards the village of Naerak to mingle with the locals and understand their way of living. The temperature in Naerak can get as low as negative 30 degree celsius during the night so you will need to take extra precaution in regards to the clothing. Stay overnight at the village camp comfortably.

Day 07 : Naerak to Tibb ( 3300 meters )

After breakfast in Naerak later procced for Tibb with packed launch Distance/Duration: 13km / 7 Hours Grade: Moderate Today morning after breakfast get ready to return back to Tibb but would not be easy to trek so take time to return back to Tibb and the river quickly reacts to any change in the temperature. By now the frozen river might have taken an entirely new form. On the way back, admire the beauty of the region, click pictures and meet locals, who can be seen wearing traditional woollen Gonchas (robes). Upon Dib Cave, relax and stay overnight at the campsite.

Day 08 : Markha - Hanker - 4000 meters - 04 hours. 

After breakfast in Tibb camp site proceed for Shingra koma and make esay way to back leh. Distance/Duration: 14km / 7 Hours Grade: Moderate morning leave for Tibb and proceed towards Shingra Koma, crossing Gyalpo. The trail today will give you a chance to witness high mountains and pugmarks of wild animals like snow leopards, ibex and foxes. If lucky, you just might spot a leopard; even if you do not, then at least be sure, you would be watched by them. After trekking through the day, make your way to Shingra Koma which is technically the finishing point of the trek. Take some rest after arrival and manage your luggage accordingly for the ride to Leh. Later, drive back to Leh and stay overnight at the hotel. 

Day 09 : Leh Ladhak union territory of india ( 3500meter ) 

After breakfast in hotel day leisure and optional to explore full day all monasteries.over night in hotel 

Day 10 : Departure from Leh

After breakfast in hotel day at leisure to to fly back . Today, the mesmeric journey to one of the most scenic destinations in India will ultimately come to an end. The entire experience, we are sure, would give you an unmatchable feeling of achievement and satisfaction. In the morning, check-out from the hotel and depart for Leh airport.

Day 1 : Arrival Delhi

Day 3 : Leh Ladhak Acclimatize 

After breakfast day at leisure for own activities and best to acclimatize yourself.over night. 

Day 4 : Leh – Spituk-Zinchen - 3200 meters - 04 hours mini

 After breakfast morning drive to 10 km to spituk this is starting point for trek .
While trekking we will cross Indus river which is very famous river in leh ladhak in union territory of india and later enter to Zinchen river where we will have our camp site.over night  

Day 5 : Zinchen - Yurutse - 3844 meters - 05 hours

After breakfast in camp later start trek for Yurutse it take minimum 05 hours while passing through this beautifull valley . passing through this beautiful valley, By the time we reach Yurutse after 03 hours and later we meet the river which comes from the Stok Kangri massif. Continue up to the campsite at the base of Ganda La pass. Overnight Camp.  

Day 6 : Yurutse - Ganda La - 4800 meters - Skiu - 3510 meters 06/07 hours

After breakfast with packed lauch trek to Skiu cross Ganda la- follow the path along the mountainside later then follow the zig zag steep path up to cross GandaLa. Then there is a long descent towards Shingo. After 2 hours' descent beyond Singo, arrive in the Markha Valley. A few hundred meters further, and we will reach Skiu. Overnight Camp. 

Day 07 : Skiu - Markha valley - 3850 meters 07 hours

After morning breakfast in campsite proceed for Markha and follow a good path on the right bank of markha and then later cross the river and pass through barren plains arriving at Chaluk. Thereafter, walk along the left bank of river until another crossing and a small climb towards Markha village. Good camp site beyond the village and near the river. Overnight Camp

Day 08 : Markha - Hanker - 4000 meters - 04 hours. 

Morning after breakfast with packed launch start trekking toward the main valley and pass the Monastery of humlung and after launch break start trekking along the right bank and arrive in Hankar, where there are several houses. Overnight Camp in Hankar.  

Day 09 : Hankar - Nimaling - 4650 meters 04 hours 

Morning after breakfast with packed launch start trekking and cross a broad valley on the rightside. The valley becomes narrow and higher, and crosses bridges to the left bank . We climb to reach Nimaling, which is one of most beautiful high valleys in Ladakh, and is dominated by the Kang Yaze. Overnight Camp in Nimaling. 

Day 10 : Nimaling - Kongmaru la - 5150 meters - Shang Sumdo - 3750 meters - 07 hours

Morning after breakfast with packed launch start trekking and Cross the Markha valley, follow long climb along the mountain side and then towards KongmaruLa. Follow a steep descent into gorges and then keep walking on the left bank to Chukirmo and later cross right and left before arriving in Shang, a beautiful camp in groves. There is a monastery an hour away from the village. Overnight at Camp at Shang Sumdo. 

Day 11 : Shang Sumdo - Hemis -3600 meters - 4 hours

Morning after breakfast with packed launch procced for gentel trek .Hemis is the most important monastery of Ladakh - 360 years old. The gigantic Thanka one of the largest in the world is open-displayed once every 12 years. Overnight Camp at Hemis. 

Day 12 : Hemis - Thiksey - Shey - Leh  

Morning after breakfast with packed launch today we can visit the Hemis monastery, then drive to Shey Monastery. This one has a 7.5m copper statue of Buddha plated with gold the largest of its kind. We drive to Thikshy Monastery which is situated on a hill top. There are several temples and wall paintings of Buddha. Close by is the summer palace of the old raja of Leh. This monastery is 800 years old and silver and gold statues can be seen in it. Overnight .

Day 13 :Leh ladhak

Day 04 : Leh – Sabu by Jeep - Pulu Digar 4400 meters - 06 hours

 After morning breakfast drive to beautifull country side Sabu later after crossing a bridge we can start trekking inroute to trek we will pass by meadows and can find Herd of yaks & crossbred of yak and cow and can have beautiful view of stock kangri .over night 

Day 05 : Pulu Digar - chumik Tangmo - 06 hours minimum

After breakfast procced for Digar La -5300 meters and top of Digar La well known for Karakoram range to north of stok ragne of south. We can hang prayer flags in top of Digar La pass.it is belived that prayer flags brings good luck for the journey .In silk route time it was very common practice for the traders and good luck for business too. 

Day 06 : Chumik - Tangmo- Hotong 05 hours minimum

After morning breakfast get ready for trek to Hotong ,it is long hot –dusty trail through desert until we reach sand dunes .over night 

Day 07 : Hotong - Rongjuk - 05 hours minimum

After morning breakfast get ready for trek to Ronguk we will continue our trek in the desert along left side of the Shayok river.The trek ahead is hot and dusty so we have to take precation to prevent from dehydration ,we need to drink plenty of water on the trek and after long hot day tiring trek we will have camp on country side of Rongiuk .over night.

Day 08 : Rongjuk - Khalsar 02 hours  

After morning breakfast ready for easy trek to khalsar ,it is a military country sidein nurba valley,here we have time to explore nurba valley passing through Khardung la 5606 meters to leh. Visit to Samtenling Gompa (Monastery) Trek to Diskit. Visit to 350 year old Diskit Gompa .over night  

Day 09 : Leh

After morning breakfast can explore old monestry of leh ladhak –like monestry made of huge gold statue of lord Buddha,thiksey Gompa, Phyang Gompa -hemis Gompa later we can visit the stok palace ,the royal residence of the king of stok and museum collection of ancient ladhaki art including old Thangkas,precious stones,arms and armoury ,the queens necklace and the crown of the king of ofladhak .over night 

Day 10 : Leh departure.

Day 04 : Leh - Likir - Yangthang

 After morning breakfast drive to explore likir visit the LIKIR MONASTERY Of the many religious artifacts in the monastery, visit the huge 9-storey open standing statue of Maitraya Buddha (Future Buddha). The statue is one of its kind in the entire Himalayan Buddhist belt. TREK: Later start the first leg the trek. After the village cross over the Pobe-La. Enroute trek pass the lonely village of Sumdo. Further along a valley and trek to reach Chartse La and then arrive Yangthang. Overnight stay in tents. 

Day 05 : Yangthang - Ang

After morning breakfast trek to reach a beautiful small village of Ang, a bowl shaped village. Trek along Wullu valley and after coming over Shemchan La, arrive at the village of Hemis-Shukpachan. This village is popular throughout Ladakh for its aromatic Shukpa (Cedar) which is used as an incense for religious purposes. Visit the small gompa. Later resume trek for another 2 hours and arrive at Ang. Upon arrival visit to a local house and enjoy Ladakhi Gur-Gur tea (butter tea). Overnight stay in tents. 

Day 06 : Ang - Khaltse

After morning breakfast trek to reach Khaltse which is the longest and the most interesting trek. After a short trek from Ang enter Tingmosgang village, the famous village of Ladakh which is known for its Apricots, Apples and Walnuts. At the end of the village visit the ancient palace of Tingmosgang surrounded by ruined buildings. Infact Tingmosgang was once the capital of western Ladakh. Later, trek to Tia village and crossing over the Bongbong La pass descent along a gentle slope and arrive at Khaltse. Overnight stay in tents. 

Day 07 : Khaltse - Alchi - Leh

After morning breakfast drive to reach Leh. Enroute divert right to visit ALCHI GOMPA: Founded in 1100 AD by the famous Tibetan translator Lotsava Rinchen Zangpo, Alchi gompa preserves what is believed to be one of the finest buddhist paintings. In its few small dark prayer halls sorrounded by Apricot trees you will find one of the most interesting and immensely beautiful wall paintings. Later drive back to Leh. Upon arrival checkin at the hotel.

Day 08 : Leh

After morning breakfast free day to explore leh ladhak.over night

Day 03 : Leh ladhak – Kargil 235 km drive 

Morning after breakfast drive to Kargil by Jeep/Coach, visiting the Alchi monastery on the way. Today we have to cross the highest pass (FotuLa 13749 ft) on Srinagar-Leh route. Finally, we stop at the Mulbek monastery, which is worth the visit. Another 40 Kms drive will take us to Kargil. Overnight at Hotel. 

Day 04 : Kargil - Randgom 135 km drive 

 After morning breakfast drive to Randgom After leaving Kargil, we drive towards the Zanskar valley. On the way, we see Panikar and Parkachan villages as well as views of Nun & Kun peaks. Arrive Rangdom in the evening. Overnight in tents 

Day 05 : Randgom - Padam 150 km drive

After morning breakfast enroute visit Rangdom Gompa which we visit before continuing to drive to Padam. Padam is the Capital of Zanskar valley, which we will reach after crossing PenisLa pass (4401m), and seeing some ancient Buddhist villages. After crossing Tungri bridge, we visit Sunni Gompa before finally reaching Padam in the late afternoon. Overnight in tents. 

Day 06 : Padam - Karsha 04 hours trekking

After morning breakfast start trekking towards Piptong, and then pass through the dusty plain, cross the Doda river climb and arrive at Karsha’s 15th century Monastery. Overnight in tents. 

Day 07 : Karsha - Pishu 05 hours trekking

After morning breakfast start trekking ,its An easy and dusty walk today. After crossing Rinam, there is a rock shelter and a small stream (Zanskar river). The longest hanging-bridge (55m) joining the Zangla gompa can be visited before arriving at Pishu. From Zangla a side trail goes to Padam via Zozar andThongde. Overnight in Tents.

Day 08: Pishu - Hanumil 05 hours trekking

After morning breakfast trek on the left bank of Zanskar River, sometime crossing the morainic plateau. After crossing a bridge, Pidmu is reached. And after 2 more hours, we reach at Hanumil. Overnight in Tents.

Day 09 : Hanumil - Parfila - Snertse 06 hours trekking

After morning breakfast -After one hour of easy path beyond Hanumil, the trail leads up to a plateau along Zanskar River’s edge, and then to the foot of the pass. After a steep and difficult climb to ParfiLa (3900m), a steep descent will take us to the Oma Chu river. Cross the bridge and continue on a steep and difficult climb of about one Km. Overnight in Tents.

Day 10 : Snertse - Hanumala - Lingshad 09 hours trekking

After morning breakfast pass a sheep fold. A further 3-hour walk will take us to HanumaLa (4700m). After a km of steep descent, climb for half a km along the mountain-side, and then descend towards Lingshad (3800m). Overnight in tents.

Day 11 : Lingshad - Foot of Singela 07 hours trekking

After morning breakfast and Climb for around one hour easily up to MargumLa (4100m). Descend along the slope, with beautiful landscape and a view of Nierang valley. After passing the village of Gongma (3840m) and Skiumpata, climb a steep ascent to KubeLa (3800m). Continue climbing up to the foot of SingeLa. Overnight in Tents.

Day 12 : Foot of Singela - Singela- Photoksar 07 hours trekking

After morning breakfast later Start by finishing the climb to SingeLa. It takes about 7 to 8 hours to reach Photoksar from the pass. A short descent opens out in a broad valley, which we follow. First we have an easy walk before the climb to BoumitseLa (4200m) which is not arduous. Now descend to Photoksar (3750m). Overnight in tents.

Day 13 : Photoksar - Sirsirla - Hanupatta 06 hours trekking

After morning breakfast trek to Photoksar, a gentle climb of one hour takes us to a large chorten. There is a long ascent of SirsirLa, the last part that is steep. Now we descend to the river, cross a bridge and pass a stony valley before arriving at the campsite a little before Hanupatta (3450m). Overnight in Tents.

Day 14 : Hanupatta - Wanla - Shilla 07 hours trekking

After morning breakfast trek to Continue the descent across the slope, where the path cut into the rock, up to a junction of the rivers with a chorten and flittering flag. After crossing a ridge, go down passing through some fallen rocks, arrive at Franjila (3 Hrs). Wanla is located on flat land, and is reached after crossing a bridge on the left bank of the river. Cross another bridge, and arrive at Shilla. Overnight in Tents.

Day 15 : Hanupatta - Wanla - Shilla 07 hours trekking

After morning breakfast trek to Continue the descent across the slope, where the path cut into the rock, up to a junction of the rivers with a chorten and flittering flag. After crossing a ridge, go down passing through some fallen rocks, arrive at Franjila (3 Hrs). Wanla is located on flat land, and is reached after crossing a bridge on the left bank of the river. Cross another bridge, and arrive at Shilla. Overnight in Tents.

Day 16 : Lamayuru - Leh 120 km drive

After morning breakfast drive to leh via some interesting villages. On the way, visit Alchi and Likir monasteries, which are two of the famous monasteries of Ladakh region. Check in the Hotel.

Day 17: Leh

After morning breakfast day at leisure for own activities .over night

Day 18 : Leh - Delhi by flight

After morning breakfast drive to airport to board flight for delhi.

Stok Kangri Trek

The Stok Kangri Trek is one of the most challenging treks in Ladakh. During the course of the trek, you come across various sceneries, each of which show a different picture of Ladakh’s beauty. You are also treated to spectacular views of Zanskar and Indus Valley during the course of the trek. It should be noted though, that this trek is certainly not for the faint of heart due to its incredible altitude and difficulty. Prepare yourself both physically and mentally before setting off. Once you reach the summit though, you can enjoy breathtaking views of K2, or Mt. Godwen-Austen.

Board Dehradun Nizamuddin AC Special Train for Haridwar at 23:30 hrs from Nizamuddin Railway Station. Overnight Journey.

Day 02 : Haridwar-Mundoli

Arrival in Haridwar by 0535 hrs and from here drive to Mundoli (240 km/8-9 hrs) via Dev Prayag, Rudra Prayag and Karanprayag. Arrival at Mundoli by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 03 : Mundoli - Wan - Bedni Bugyal (3350 mts/11000 ft) 

On the morning drive 10 kms to Wan, which is the road head for the trek. Today we will trek 11 km (5-6 hrs) to reach Bedni Bugyal, probably one of the best camping sites in the Garhwal Himalayas. Dinner and overnight stay in tents. 

Bedni Bugyal: Bedni Bugyal is a charming green meadow adorned with flowers in a spell binding varieties, in full bloom. There is a small lake situated in the midst of the meadow, where Tarpans are offered by the devotees. Situated nearby is a small temple where the devotees pay there obeisance, during their halt at Bedni Bugyal.

Day 04 : Bedni Bugyal

Day 05 : Bedni Bugyal - Bagubassa (4100 mts/13450 ft)

After breakfast trek to Bagubassa. Bagua means flowery park and Basa means place. And rightly the place was full of variety of flowers including the rare Bhram Kamal, a special godly lotus found at only and between the altitudes of 14000 - 15000 ft. Today we will trek 10 km, taking about 4-5 hrs to reach today's campsite at Bagubassa. Dinner and overnight in tents. 

Day 06 : Bagubassa - Roopkund (4450 mts/14600 ft) - Bedni Bugyal

Bhagubasa to Roopkund is easy walking in the flat but in morens ? hour climbing with same view as last day. (4-5 hours). Kaluka Vinayak (pass) descending till to patar nachwani. The trek to Roopkund passes through delightful alpine pasture lands and snow fields, offering magnificent views of the Trisul, Nanda Ghunti, Badrinath peaks when the snow melts, human and equine skeletons remains can be seen. Some of them with flesh attached. These remains have been preserved in the alpine condition for centuries. It is believed that these are the remains of about 300 persons who died about 500 -600 years ago. In the afternoon trek back to Bedni Bugyal for dinner and overnight stay. 

Day 07 : Bedni Bugyal - Wan (2436 mts/8000 ft)

Retrace your steps towards Wan. This will take 3-4 hrs. Dinner and overnight in tents.

Day 08 : Wan - Rishikesh (2200 mts /7200 ft)

After an early breakfast drive to Rishikesh. Lunch enroute. Arrival at Rishikesh by evening. Upon arrival check into hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 09 : Rishikesh - Haridwar - Delhi

After breakfast depart for Haridwar to catch same train at 10:30 hrs to reach Delhi. Arrival at Delhi by 14:30 hrs.

After breakfast drive to Taluka by Toyota Qualis, a small hamlet nestled in the laps of nature via Mussoorie, Kempty falls, Purola and Mori. This is starting point of our trek. Overnight in tents/ tourist rest house.

Day 04 : Taluka - Osla (2560 m / 8400 ft) (13 kms/6-7 hrs) 

 The day starts with the gentle trail towards Osla. Today's trek is through beautiful forests of Chestnut, Walnut and Willows. A gradual ascent brings us to the picturesque Osla village along the swift rivulet. On arrival set campsite for overnight stay.

Day 05 : Osla - Har - Ki Dun (3566 m / 11700 ft) (12 kms/6-7 hrs)

Morning after breakfast trek to Har Ki Dun. Initially the trek goes past some fields of beans & rice and also some isolated villages, where the life style is same as old, and the untouched one. The dress worn by the people is traditional. Their cheerful ness and innocence combined with their simple way of life make them very appealing. A common scene in the evenings is that of ruddy cheeked village belles returning home, carrying on their backs huge loads of pine needles & cones to be used as fuel. The trail steadily ascends the side of the ridge across the river and then veers left to the Har Ki Dun valley. Dense forests at this part give way to the meadows that are scattered with flowers and flowering herbs. Dinner and o Overnight stay in tents. 

Day 06 : Har-Ki-Dun

The day is for rest/ acclimatization /exploration. On this day everyone does his own thing. One can go on an exploratory trek in the valley, capture some magnificent views on the camera, or just chill at the campsite. Overnight in tents. 

Day 07 : Har Ki Dun - Debshu Bugyal (14 kms/4-5 hrs)

Morning after breakfast trek down to Ruinsiara Tal (3500mtr.) is hidden between a small ridge and the left wall of the valley. Lunch enroute, dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 08 : Debshu Bugyal - Ruinsara Tal (3500 m/ 11480 ft) (16 kms/5-6 hrs)

Today we start trekking early towards Ruinsara Tal. The Trek from Debsu Bughyal to Ruinsara Tal is through, terraced mountain fields, lush green grassy lands and conifer forests through extremely scenic landscape. The gradient of the trek is moderate and one will be able to complete the trek in 5 - 6 hrs on arrival at the lake set campsite. Overnight in tents.

Day 09 : Ruinsara Tal

The day is for rest / acclamatisation / exploration. One can explore the surroundings around the lake. The place is full of photographers delight. Dinner and overnight in stay in tents.

Day 10 : Ruinsara Tal - Osla (18 kms/4-5 hrs)

After breakfast start trekking back towards Osla (18 kms). This trek will take about 4-5 hours. Set up a camp by the Supin River. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 11 : Osla - Taluka (13 kms/3-4 hrs) - Dehradun (215 Kms, 7-8 hrs)

After early breakfast trek for about 3-4 hours to reach Taluka and from here drive back to Dehradun. Upon arrival at Dehradun transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 12 : Dehradun - Delhi

In the morning after breakfast to Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi transfer to airport to catch your onwards flight.

Lamayuru to Alchi trek  

What makes the Lamayuru to Alchi Trek different from the other treks is the glimpse it provides of the lifestyle of the Indo-Tibetan people. You get a chance to explore the rich history of the region through the walls of the ancient monasteries of Ladakh as well as the scriptoriums.
